This project involved upgrading a 1-kilometer stretch of the Mavanga Njelela Road in Tanzania to a bitumen standard, undertaken for Tarura Engineering and Environment Consultants. The goal was to enhance road durability, safety, and accessibility for the local community.

Our team executed a comprehensive topographic layout to map the existing terrain accurately. From there, we developed precise horizontal and vertical alignments to optimize the road’s geometry, ensuring smooth transitions and safe travel for vehicles. Cross-sections were meticulously prepared to provide detailed structural guidelines for the construction phase.

By adhering to engineering best practices and local standards, the upgraded road was designed to withstand increased traffic loads while offering a sustainable and cost-effective solution.

This project exemplifies our expertise in road design and our commitment to infrastructure development in Tanzania. Upgrading the Mavanga Njelela Road to a bitumen standard represents a significant improvement in connectivity and supports economic growth in the region.
